Brush fire burning on I-90 near Kittitas, EB lanes of I-90 still closed

UPDATE: At 3 p.m., the left EB I-90 lane will reopen at the Kittitas Interchange to the Vantage Bridge.

UPDATE: As of Friday morning, the Boylston fire has now burned an estimated 58,000 acres. I-90 westbound lanes are open, there is still a detour for eastbound lanes.

UPDATE: The fire, now known as the Boylston Fire, has jumped the median to westbound lanes. All lanes of I-90 are now closed in the area. Traffic is being diverted to Vantage Highway.

According to Washington State DNR, the fire is estimated at 300 acres in size.

A brush fire is burning on eastbound I-90 at MP122 seven miles east of Kittitas, according to WSP.

The roadway is fully blocked.

Motorists are being redirected to exit 115. It is currently unknown when the roadway will reopen.
