Brrrr… one of the coldest nights of the year on its way

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane woke up to 2.3 inches of new snow Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Snowfall should be winding down by Tuesday afternoon. Though, some spots could still see some light snowfall into the evening.
Tuesday afternoon will be cloudy with grey skies to finish the day.
This evening, we’ll also see mostly cloudy skies with very, very cold conditions. Temperatures will be in the single digits for much of our region. Spokane’s low temperature Tuesday night will be six degrees, but wind chill will make it feel even colder.
Afternoon highs today and tomorrow are expected in the low 20s.
We’ll take a short break in the forecast from snowfall for Wednesday. We’re keeping an eye on Wednesday. Looks like a new weather system may bring snowfall right back to the forecast.
