Brain Freeze permanently closing South Hill location amid report of unpaid taxes
SPOKANE, Wash. — Brain Freeze Creamery said it will soon reopen its Kendall Yards location, but permanently close its South Hill location amid a report the company owes several thousand dollars in unpaid taxes.
The State Department of Revenue issued warrants against the business totaling more than $19,000 in unpaid taxes and penalties. The notice was taped to the door of the location on Grand Boulevard.
According to a Facebook post on Brain Freeze’s page, the Kendall Yards store will reopen in the next few weeks, but the South Hill location will be closed permanently. The post stated the South Hill store was already set to close at the end of the season as it was not profitable.
“We would like to thank all of our loyal customers that have visited the South Hill stores and the Kendall Yards store over the years, your continued support means the world to us,” the post reads.
