Tyler Rambo is the suspect in a shooting at Coeur d'Alene's City Beach on the Fourth of July.

A judge set bond at $1 million for a man accused of opening fire during a crowded 4th of July celebration in Coeur d’Alene.

Tyler Rambo was shot by police during the melee and spent several weeks in the hospital. He was recently released from the hospital but had not yet been charged in connection with the shooting.

Wednesday, he was arrested when a car he was riding in was pulled over and police found marijuana and multiple firearms inside. In court, the prosecutor also said the Rambo’s home was searched and investigators found weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

He appeared in court in a wheelchair Friday. It was his 19th birthday.

Bond had previously been set at $25,000. The judge Friday said Rambo was a danger to the public and increased the bond amount.

Rambo is charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault in connection with the 4th of July incident. Witnesses said Rambo was drunk that night; he’s accused of pointing a gun at a woman and firing at a man. Police say he also fired at police, who fired back.

If he does bond out, Rambo is not allowed to leave the state of Idaho except to go to medical appointments in Washington. The judge also said Rambo can’t go within a mile of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
