Spokane Police arrest suspect from Rochester Heights Park homicide

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department arrested a 31-year-old for 1st-degree murder after a body was recovered at Rochester Heights Park on Friday.

Around 11 a.m. on Friday, a citizen discovered a body at the park, located in Northeast Spokane. SPD found a male victim who was suffering from trauma from a cutting instrument.

Major Crimes Unit detectives used security footage provided to them by community members.

SPD was able to locate and arrest Rose Sedin early Sunday morning.

The relationship between Sedin and the victim, as well as other details surrounding the murder, are still under investigation.
