Body found at Palouse Falls presumed to be man who went missing in area last week
PALOUSE FALLS, Wash. — A body has been found at Palouse Falls State Park, where a man fell off a cliff and went missing last week.
Franklin County Sheriff Jim Raymond said the body was discovered in the upper pool of Palouse Falls. Recovery efforts are underway.
The identity cannot be confirmed until the coroner’s office examines the body, but it is presumed to be the body of 26-year-old Noble Stoneman of Pullman.
Stoneman was standing near a ledge on Thursday when the ground beneath him collapsed. Authorities said fell roughly 100 feet into the upper pool of the falls.
This was the fourth deadly accident at the park in less than two years.
