Bloomsday 2019: 22-year-old Tanzanian man wins men’s elite race for the second time
SPOKANE, Wash. — A 22-year-old Tanzanian man won Bloomsday’s men’s elite race Sunday for the second time.
Gabriel Geay finished with a time of 34 minutes and 48 seconds, beating out the second place finisher by just three seconds. Bernard Ngeno finished just behind Geay with a time of 34:51.
Geay ran the 12k with an average pace of 4:40 per mile. He also won the Bloomsday men’s elite race in 2017.
