Maher Kawash joined the 4 News Now team as a multimedia journalist in June of 2019.

He graduated with a degree in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University while also working for the PBS affiliate WEIU-TV as a lead anchor, reporter and producer. Maher also worked as a newsroom intern for WGN-TV in Chicago during the summer of 2018.

Maher is an Illinois native and grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors and cheering on his Chicago sports teams.
