Bill introduced to legalize sports gambling in Washington tribal casinos
OLYMPIA, Wash. — Eight Washington state lawmakers have sponsored a bill that calls for professional and college sports wagering to be legalized within tribal gaming facilities.
House Bill 1975 was introduced was last Friday, and proposes to limit all sports gambling – including online wagering – within the confines of tribal casinos.
The proposed bill comes after the U.S. Supreme Court squashed a federal law banning sports gambling last year.
