Before venturing on the lake, here are some boating safety tips
SPOKANE, Wash. — Boating can be fun, but with anything fun comes responsibility. We looked into boating safety practices so you don’t have to. Here’s all you need to know before hitting the lakes this summer:
-Make sure to carry both a life jacket and communication device at all times when in the water.
-Water gets cold, so make sure that life jacket is on. Cold water can zap your energy, sending your limbs into schock and making swimming difficult.
-Fines in Spokane County are up to $90 for those caught without a life jacket. You’ve been warned!
