Backup cameras now required in new cars
A feature that was once a bonus on your car, is now required for all new vehicles in the U.S.
A federal regulation took effect Wednesday requiring rearview cameras and video displays in all new vehicles.
Congress passed the law in 2008, but automakers had several years to implement the change.
More than 200 people are killed every year in back-up crashes and more than 12,000 people are hurt.
