Back to work and school with sunny and even warmer weather – Kris

The weekend is over, but the summer weather continues!

What we’re tracking

We are tracking record-high temperatures for the start of the school and work week with blue skies and sunshine.

4 Things To Know

Plan your Monday

It will be a cool start to Monday with morning lows in the 40s, but that will not be the case for long.  Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s for highs.  That’s the warmest weather we’ve had in more than two weeks. Expect dry conditions, light winds and sunny skies.

Spokane and Couer d’Alene forecast

An upper-level ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather pattern.  On Tuesday, expect a warming trend that takes us into the upper 80s and lower 90s!  Many locations could break temperature records on Tuesday. The current record for Spokane is 87°.  The forecast high is 88°.  Meanwhile, a cold front will pass through the region on Wednesday, picking up our winds and dropping temperatures back closer to average.  A more significant cool-down on Thursday will come along with a chance of mountain showers.
