Baby born on the side of the road has recovered and is doing well, family says

Baby Betty

GRANT CO., Wash. — Last month, a baby was born on the side of the road in Grant County.

She came out unresponsive, but with the help of her grandmother, Washington State Patrol troopers and 911 dispatchers, they were able to get baby Betty breathing until EMS arrived.

Betty and her mom Martina are now out of the Spokane hospital they were staying at while doctors monitored their progress. Grandma Wanda says Betty and Martina are both doing well after their ordeal.
