Avista Foundation gifts $300,000 to Vanessa Behan’s ‘Project Every Kid’
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Avista Foundation recently gifted $300,000 to Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery’s Project Every Kid.
Project Every Kid is the non-profit’s vision to have a bigger and more meaningful impact through the construction of a larger facility that allows the organization to provide increased services.
Vanessa Behan’s new home will be on East Sprague Ave and will have the resources to triple the number of families it can help.
Avista’s investment will go directly toward children and families in the Spokane community and will provide resources for growing the organization’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect.
“We are incredibly grateful for Avista Foundation’s investment in Project Every Kid. This partnership will allow Vanessa Behan to meet the growing need for services as well as provide unique and innovative programs that will enhance the success of children and parents in our community,” said Executive Director Amy Knapton Vega.
“We are very pleased to make this contribution to Vanessa Behan and are proud to support the expanded services the new facility will provide for children and families in our region,” said Kristine Meyer, Executive Director of the Avista Foundation.
The organization hopes to be in their new space by January.
