Argument over construction leads to fatal Tonasket shooting
TONASKET, Wash. – An argument over construction left two people dead and another injured in Tonasket on Monday.
The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report of the shooting on Cape Labelle rd around 1:05 p.m.
Deputies learned that 61-year-old Scott Pollock and his wife had gone to 26-year-old Raymond Smith’s property to discuss ongoing construction they were helping complete.
The two men got into an argument and both opened fire. Pollock told police Smith shot him in the left hand. Pollock also said he shot at Smith and believed he had hit him in the chest.
Deputies when to Smith’s house to check on his condition and found him, as well as 56-year-old Kimberly Smith, dead.
Pollock was taken to a local hospital before being transported to Harborview for his injuries.
Authorities are now trying to determine what caused Raymond and Kimberly’s deaths.
