Another resident tests positive for COVID-19 at Spokane Veterans Home, now 35 total

SPOKANE, Wash. — An additional resident has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Spokane Veterans Home, making 35 total residents who have contracted the virus at the the home. 

Of those residents, two have died, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

On Wednesday, a spokesperson with the DVA said all residents who hadn’t already were being transferred to the VA Medical Center for treatment. 

Staff and residents are being regularly tested, and the Veterans Home says they continue to work with the Spokane VA Medical Center and MultiCare. 

So far, 13 staff members have tested positive for the virus.
