911 outage in Stevens County, cause is unknown
COLVILLE, Wash. — Stevens County is undergoing a communications outage, the Stevens County Police Department said Saturday morning.
Its 911 system is affecting the Centurylink areas of 258, 233, 722, 732, and 935. Those exchanges are not working, and larger areas are experiencing a Verizon issue.
SCPD says the Suncrest area does not appear to be affected.
Those in the area whose 911 calls may not work are suggested to call their local fire department.
It is unknown currently as to what was the cause of the outage.
