It’s your last chance to enjoy the Spokane County Interstate Fair this weekend. With the line-up they have, you might say they’ve saved the best for last.

Here are four things you can’t miss this weekend at the Spokane County Fairgrounds:

1. Fair Food!

The Spokane County Interstate Fair has a lot of different contests. The one folks tend to look forward to the most is the Best of the Fair Food. This year, Bread Barn won for the best signature item with their steak and tot bowl. If deep fried food is more your thing, the Philly Steak Piroshky from Leonardo’s took the prize in the fried foods category. The Dessert Panini at Sub Division took the crown for best dessert. Want to try something out of the box? Unique? Mary Lou’s Scallywag Sundae won most creative!

2. FREE Pumpkin Carving for the Kids

There will be a free pumpkin carving contest inside the agriculture building on Saturday. Kids ages 5 to 15 will have the chance to learn about carving pumpkins and then put their skills to the test. After pumpkins are judged, bring them home and get a jump start on fall decorating.

3. Grandstand Shows

The Truck and Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. Friday night. Stick around afterward and bring the kids to the floor of the grandstand to check out the tractors and get some autographs. Saturday and Sunday evenings at the grandstand are for the Demo Derby! This event sells out every year, so your best bet at a ticket is getting there early!

4. FREE admission for kids and teens Sunday

To help kick of the 4 News Now “Coats for Kids” drive, attendees who bring a new or gently used children’s coat will get FREE admission for their kids, up to seventeen years of age.
