4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Rumbles Okanogan County
A 4.6 magnitude earthquake rocked through Okanogan County early Friday morning. Residents began to feel the movement at 5:09 a.m. The epicenter was located just north of Okanogan, five miles from Riverside and was felt as far as Moses Lake.
A Twisp resident, Erin White, and her three children were woken up by the movement around 5:10 a.m. She says their windows were shaking, beds were bouncing and the animals were apparently going crazy.
According to USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 7.4 miles.
