3 arrested in Chattaroy Quick Stop theft, 1 suspect at large

CHATTAROY, Wash. — Three people accused of stealing nearly $20,000 worth of tobacco and vape products from the Chattaroy Quick Stop have been arrested. 

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Braden G. Waters, 19-year-old Joleigh C. Waters and 18-year-old Patrick J. Mackey for second-degree burglary and first-degree theft. 

A fourth person is also suspected of the crimes and authorities are asking that person to turn themself in. 

Authorities said the suspects not only stole thousands in products, but also caused $1,000 worth of damage. 

Deputies identified the suspects based off of tips from the community and were able to locate them in an apartment in Spokane Valley Wednesday morning.
