26-year-old man drowns at Rufus Woods Lake
DOUGLAS CO., Wash. — Douglas County Deputies responded to a drowning at Rufus Woods Lake Sunday night, where they found 26-year-old Manuel De Jesus Galarza-Martinez unresponsive.
Deputies attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful.
They learned that Martinez was swimming with friends in the lake, above the Chief Joseph Dam.
At a certain point, he went under the water and didn’t come back up. His friends pulled him from the water and immediately called police.
