POST FALLS, Idaho — Around 6:45 Saturday night, Kootenai County deputies and fire crews responded to reports of a shooting on the 600 block of S. Gallatin Rd. near Post Falls.
Crews found 24-year-old Tyler S. Liles laying on the ground near a home with a single gunshot wound. They tried life-saving measures but Liles was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s detectives later identified 41-year-old William C. Carlson as the suspected shooter. He was arrested for Involuntary Manslaughter and is now being held in the Kootenai County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Detectives say this appears to be an isolated incident and have no reason to believe anyone else is in any danger. Due to this being an on-going investigation no further information will be released at this time.
