2021 Cougs to receive both virtual commencement and drive-through graduation

WSU Virtual Celebration Class of 2021

PULLMAN, Wash. — In addition to their Saturday, May 8 virtual commencement, WSU Pullman announced that they will host a drive-through graduation celebration on Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m. for the graduating class of 2021.

While the Spring’s commencement ceremony won’t be in-person, WSU still plans to celebrate the achievements and successes of the graduating class.

Despite seeing signs of progress in reducing the spread of COVID-19, WSU President Kirk Schulz said that they must remain diligent and follow Washington State Department of Health’s guidelines surrounding commencements and graduations.

On behalf of the WSU community, Schulz expressed gratitude to the graduating class for showing tremendous resiliency and perseverance throughout the past 14 months.

The May 8 event will be open to everyone and livestreamed on YouTube. The deadline to register is April 12.

Additional details about the May 1 event will be shared in the coming weeks.
