13 Eagle Scouts to graduate from Gonzaga Prep
SPOKANE, Wash. — Nationally, only four to six Boy Scouts per 100 achieve the high rank of Eagle Scout. This year’s Gonzaga Prep students are the exception to that statistic.
In a graduating class with 117 boys, 13 of them are graduating with the Eagle Scout ranking.
“Gonzaga Prep typically has a few graduating Eagle Scouts annually, but this number is a record for us. It speaks to the diligence and commitment of these young men of these high achieving students,” said Vice Principal of Academics Derek Duchesne.
Established by Boy Scouts of America in 1912, the Eagle Scout rank is considered to be one of the most treasured acheivements earneable.
