10-time convicted felon back in jail

A man convicted of 10 felonies is back in jail after Spokane Police say he assaulted two people.

Sunday at 5:50 p.m., Spokane Police Department responded to the area near North Holliston Road and North West Point Road for the report of a domestic violence incident where the suspect used a weapon.

According to SPD, Adam L. Frantz, 32, took off before police got there, but a woman said Frantz had punched her in the head. A male victim who confronted Frantz about the assault said Frantz also hit him in the head with something.

A SPD lieutenant soon saw Frantz riding a bike on Pettet/Doomsday Hill. Frantz ran into the river to try and get away. Once he was surrounded by officers, including a K9, he surrendered and police arrested him.

Police charged Frantz with 2 nd degree assault, 4 th degree assault (domestic violence related), 3 rd degree mischief, and obstruction of justice.

SPD issued a release thanking the Spokane Fire Department and American Medical Response for helping with the water rescue. Another mention of thanks went out to people tubing in the area who cooperated with police.
