OLYMPIA, Wash. — Have you checked your lottery tickets? Washington’s Lottery says they have more than $1.9 million in unclaimed prizes that will expire soon.

According to the Lottery, there are 33 unclaimed prizes valued at $10,000 or more; including a $1 million Mega Millions prize and two Match 4 prizes worth $10,000.

The Lottery says one winning Match 4 ticket was bought at the Puyallup Albertsons at 11012 Canyon Rd. E. and expires June 13, and the other was bought at the Seattle Fred Meyer on 915 NW 45th St. and expires June 27.

After buying a winning ticket, you have 180 days from the drawing date to claim your prize. If you won with a Scratch ticket, you have 180 days from the last day of ticket sales to claim your prize.

If you won a ticket on the other side of the state, or otherwise cannot get to the Lottery offices in Olympia, Spokane, Everett or Yakima, you are encouraged to mail your winning ticket to one of the offices to claim your prize.

Unclaimed prizes are moved to a reserve account every June, and any surplus is transferred to the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA), which goes to supporting college grants, scholarship programs, work study programs and early childhood education and assistance programs.

Any remaining money goes to the the Economic Development Reserve Account, Problem Gambling Account and the Stadium and Exhibition Center.
