Zags Advance To Third Straight Sweet 16

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Despite thousands of Northwestern fans packing the Vivint Smart Home Arena, the Zags raced out to a 20 point first half lead and survived a late push by the Wildcats - earning a trip to their third straight Sweet 16.

Nigel Williams-Goss contributed 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, while Jordan Mathews and Zach Collins each had 14.

The win was also the 500th career victory for head coach Mark Few - who is the third fastest to reach the landmark in Division 1 history, after Adolf Rupp and Jerry Tarkanian.

The Zags will face West Virginia Thursday in San Jose.
