Wisconsin wide receiver Quintez Cephus will miss the remainder of the season following surgery on his right leg, coach Paul Chryst announced.
Cephus, a sophomore, sustained the injury while blocking on a running play during the third quarter against Indiana on Saturday.
"For every player that misses time, you feel bad for them," Chryst said. "And yet, (Cephus) will bounce back. One of the fun things about coaching is seeing these guys play and grow and develop, and football's a vehicle we get to use. He'll bounce back from it."
Cephus has a team-high 501 receiving yards and six touchdowns to go along with 30 catches.
Wisconsin (9-0) can clinch a Big Ten West Division title with a win over Iowa this weekend.
