Eric Williams turned aside all 29 Everett shots to earn his second shutout of the season as the Spokane Chiefs capped the first half of their WHL season with a 2-0 win in Everett Sunday night. The win was Spokane's third straight and tied the Chiefs for 3rd place in the U.S. Division, 2 points back of second place Everett.

Tyler King scored his first goal of the year on a Riley Whittingham pass at 9:22 of the first period to give Spokane a 1-0 lead after one. Neither team would score in the second as the Chiefs killed off two Silvertip power plays. Mike Aviani would cap the scoring with his 26th goal of the season from Dominic Zwerger at 6:17 of the third period to give the Chiefs a 2-0 lead. Aviani scored on Spokane's first shot of the third as the Chiefs managed just 3 shots on net in the period.

Williams would do the rest, turning aside all 11 Everett shots in the third. The shutout was the second straight in Everett for Williams as he blanked the Silvertips 1-0 in overtime on October 5th. Spokane is now 4-0 vs. Everett this season. The Chiefs will now go on holiday break before resuming the season Friday, December 27th in Cranbrook, B.C. against the Kootenay Ice at 6pm Pacific Time.
