THERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS WITH THIS YEARS WASHINGTON
STATE COUGAR FOOTBALL TEAM.
HOW GOOD IS THE OFFENSIVE LINE? CAN THE DEFENSIVE
BACKS COVER TEAMS WHEN THEY THROW.
THOSE QUESTIONS ARE LEGITIMATE - BUT WHEN IT COMES
TO THE DEFENSIVE FRONT, DALLAS HAMMER TELLS US THE
ONLY QUESTION IS HOW GOOD WILL THEY BE?
THE GAME IS WON AND LOST IN THE TRENCHES, WHERE THE
W-S-U DEFENSIVE LINE SETS THE TONE FOR THE ENTIRE
We always start the tempo at practice you know we
come out and we're live we're jumping around having
fun and everyone feeds off our energy.
I think it's contagious all around you know especially
when other players on the other sides of the ball
and other positions are doing the same.
IN ADDITION TO SETTING THE TEMPO, THE BIG GUYS KNOW
THEY HAVE TO BE THE MEANEST MEN ON THE FIELD.
D line its a nasty position you have to be violent,
you're being violent every play so I mean it's just
a given we have to play that way if we don't you're
not going to produce, you're not going to help out
the rest of your team.
This defensive line you know I feel if we come out
and play with the nastiness and the tenacity to win
every game I think we are one of the best in the country.
THEY HAVE NO SHORTAGE OF CONFIDENCE, AND AS FOR THEIR
TEAMMATES? NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR THE D LINE.
I feel like they are probably one of the top d-lines
in the conference.
Our defensive line is you know, probably one of the
best in the nation I'd say so, at least the PAC-12.
Our D line they top tier, for sure in the PAC, they
do some things that I never seen be done before, I
never had a D line like this so I really appreciate
them guys up there.
WITH NO LIMIT TO THEIR ENERGY AND CONFIDENCE, THE
WSU D LINE LOOKS TO WIN A LOT OF THE WARS IN THE TRENCHES
WITH THE COUGARS, DALLAS HAMMER, 700 ESPN.
