SPOKANE, Wash - VIDEO: Indians walk-off with 6th straight win

Spokane, WA - Brandon Garcia hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the 12th inning to help the Indians comeback to beat the Eugene Emeralds, 4-3, in front of 6,542 spectators on Yoke's $1 Family Feast Night presented by Yoke's Fresh Market and 92.9 ZZU.

With the game tied 3-3 in the 12th, Garcia hit a 1-2 fastball to score catcher Kevin Torres from first base, giving Spokane its sixth win in a row. It's the longest winning streak since June 13-18 in 2010.

Spokane was trailing Eugene going into the bottom of the ninth inning, but a leadoff home run from shortstop Alberto Triunfel tied the game. It was Truinfel's second homer of the season.

The Texas Rangers' 2013 first-round pick Alex "Chi-Chi" Gonzalez had his most successful start of the season, tossing three innings of three-hit baseball before he allowed a home run to Ronnie Richardson. RHP Eric Brooks relieved Gonzalez in the fourth inning, scattering two hits in 3.1 innings while striking out four batters.

Richardson, Eugene's center fielder, was the lone star for the Emeralds as he collected three hits and knocked in all three of his team's runs.

Torres had two hits, including a single that broke up a no-hitter in the middle of the fourth inning. The Indians catcher is now leading the team with a .291 batting average. Torres also picked off another base runner at second for the fourth time in just two days.

The Indians scored its other two runs in the sixth: the first on a sac fly from first baseman Barrett Serrato to score centerfielder Chris Garia, the second on a wild pitch soon after to score second baseman Gabe Roa. Right fielder Ryan Cordell also had a hit.

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 6th, the Indians will host the Emeralds once again on Fireworks Night.
