TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Marcus Goldbach returned the game's opening kickoff for a touchdown and rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to help power Freeman past Mount Baker 31-13 on Saturday for its first 1A state title.
   Goldbach returned the kick 85 yards to help Freeman (14-0) to a 19-13 halftime lead. He had 88 yards on eight carries, including a 16-yard touchdown run during a third-quarter drive and added 65 yards on 10 rushes with a 3-yard score to make it 31-13 early in the fourth quarter.
   Goldbach rushed for 164 yards in the second half after just four carries for six yards in the first half. Max Laib added 79 yards on 20 carries.
   Liam Short rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries to lead Mount Baker (11-2), playing in its first championship game. Izaiha Schwinden had 80 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
