SPOKANE, Wash. -

Shadle Park's Brett Rypien broke the Washington single game passing record with 613 yards against Mt. Spokane Thursday night.

He also broke the all-time record for GSL career passing yards, formerly held by his uncle, Mark Rypien.

Brett, a junior for the Highlanders, now has 5583 career passing yards, with the former record standing at 4,965.

Shadle Park beat Mt. Spokane 63-42.  Both teams are now 4-1.  Rypien also finished with 8 passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

In the early game at Albi Stadium, Central Valley beat Lewis and Clark, 28-0.  The Bears improved to 3-2.
