Uher to try out for Penguins AHL team

SPOKANE, Wash. - Dominik Uher has signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement and has joined the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguin, for their playoff run.

Uher led the Chiefs with 33 goals in 63 games, six game winning goals and was second on the team with 35 assists, 68 points and a plus-minus of +29 this past season. The 19-year-old represented the Czech Republic at the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championships in their fifth place finish in January. Uher was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton leads their first round playoff series 2-0 over the Hershey Bears.
