SPOKANE, Wash. -

Shadle Park and Lewis and Clark both survived and advanced with wins in district playoff games on Wednesday.

The Highlanders beat Mt. Spokane, 15-2 in six innings at Marks Field on the campus of Whitworth University.  Brittney Gatley got the win on the mound, giving up just the two runs, while the Shadle Park offense scored in all six innings at the plate.

Shadle will face the loser of Thursday's match-up between North Central and University, while Mt. Spokane's season comes to an end.

On the 4A side, Lewis and Clark broke a scoreless tie in the 5th inning with a 3-run rally on route to a 3-0 win over Gonzaga Prep.  Sage Scheiwiller threw a complete game shutout for the Tigers, who will face the loser of Thursday's game between Central Valley and Mead.

Gonzaga Prep's season comes to an end, despite a strong performance on the mound by Selena Rima, who tallied 14 strikeouts in six innings.
