SPOKANE, Wash. - All four local teams won on day two of the Dan Fitzgerald Memorial tournament at Lewis & Clark high school on Saturday.
West Valley 70, Peninsula 47 - Jake Love had 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead West Valley to a 70-47 win over Peninsula. Tyler Stavnes added 14 points while Devante Dickerson registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Mead 56, Blanchet 51 - Thomas Kautzman scored 15 points as Mead improved to 2-0 on the season with a 56-51 win over Blanchet.
Lewis & Clark 55, Lake Stevens 52 - Dean Richey led the way with 19 points as Lewis & Clark hung on to beat Lake Stevens 55-52. Connor Hojnacki added 11 points for the Tigers.HS Round-Up: Saturday 12/1
Lake City 64, West Valley (Yakima) 61 - West Valley (Yakima) took Lake City to double-overtime, but the Timberwolves were able to come away with a 64-61 win. Lake City improves to 2-2 with the win.
Colfax 50, La Salle 40 - Colfax improved to 2-0 with a 50-40 win over La Salle at the Sun Dome in Yakima. NOTE: The four Colfax teams from 2004-2007 were inducted into the Sun Dome Hall Of Fame after compiling a 99-19 record, including 19-straight wins in the state tournament and 4 state championships.
