Spokane - Mead and Central Valley played for two GSL 4A District Titles on Tuesday, with each school winning one.
In Volleyball, the undefeated Panthers continued to steam roll through it's competition with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 win over the Bears. Mead (13-0, 9-0) is the district's top seed to regionals, while CV (8-6, 6-3) has to play Lewis & Clark on Thursday for the second and final seed to regionals. The Tigers beat Gonzaga Prep to keep their season alive on Tuesday.
The Bears, however, would get revenge on the pitch, beating Mead 3-1 at SFCC. Mead scored the first goal a minute into the match, then Central Valley responded with three straight to earn the top seed to regionals. Mead must now play Gonzaga Prep on Friday for the second seed. In 3A, Mt. Spokane avenged it's loss earlier in the season to University by topping the Titans on their home court in straight sets on Tuesday, 25-23, 27-25, 25-13. The Wildcats earn the top seed to regionals, while University plays Shadle Park for the second seed. The Highlanders beat Rogers on Tuesday. The Pirates are the fourth seed to regionals.
