CV tops Gonzaga Prep to remain tied for second place in GSL, Shadle tops LC

The Central Valley Bears kept pace with the top dogs in the GSL beating Gonzaga Prep in four sets on Tuesday night.

CV improved to 5-1 in league play, a game behind undefeated Mead with the 25-18, 18-25, 27-25, 25-17 victory. The Bears now tied for second place with Mt. Spokane and University.

In other GSL action, Shadle Park got back to the .500 mark in the GSL with a 25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22 win at home over Lewis & Clark. Higlanders senior Darby Santos was named the WIAA's 3A player of the week on Tuesday. She led Shadle with 16 kills in the win over a Tigers team that fell to 1-5 in league play.
