Mark Few and the Gonzaga men's basketball team spent Tuesday with some very special Bulldogs fans.
Coach Few, Kevin Pangos, Elias Harris, Sam Dower, Robert Sacre and others visited Camp Goodtimes in Post Falls, a camp for area kids affected by cancer. Since 2002, Mark and Marcy Few and Coaches vs. Cancer Spokane has raised $845,000 for the camp, and hopes to reach the $1 million mark this year. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs were just happy to spend the afternoon with the kids, who were so appreciative the Zags were there.
"It's special because there isn't much we can do about what they are going through, but just being able to be here and put a smile on their face and enjoy this day with them and such nice weather by the lake is special," Gonzaga sophomore guard Kevin Pangos says.
"They don't have to do this and they choose to and it makes us feel really special that a basketball team as big as them comes out to see us," 13-year old camper Michael Corcoran exclaims.Few, Bulldogs visit Camp Goodtimes
