Taran Kozun turned aside 35 Spokane shots and shutout the Chiefs for the third straight game this season as the Seattle Thunderbirds blanked Spokane 4-0 Friday night in Kent, WA. Seattle is now 7-0 against the Chiefs this season as they now lead Spokane by 8 points for second place in the U.S. Division.

Spokane outshot Seattle 11-1 to start the game and 12-10 in the first period, but neither team was able to score. The Chiefs were turned away on two power play attempts. Seattle would get their power play going in the second, going 3 for 3 to take a 3-0 lead after two. Matt Barzal, Brandon Troock and Ryan Gropp converted in the second as Seattle went 3 for 4 on the power play in the game. It's the third game this season Seattle has scored 3 power play goals in a game on Spokane.

Gropp would cap the scoring with his second tally of the game early in the third period. Spokane outshot Seattle 35-29 in the contest, but went 0 for 5 on the power play, including 0 for 3 in the third. The Chiefs have now lost 4 straight, their longest losing streak of the season. Spokane will travel to Tri City for a 7:05pm game Saturday night.
