The wife of former Minnesota Vikings tight end Joe Senser was sentenced to 41 months in prison in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a man standing on a freeway ramp beside his car.

Amy Senser didn't take responsibility for the crash that killed Anousone Phanthavong in the opinion of Hennepin County District Judge Daniel Mabley. He rejected probation and a fine and also declined a request that Senser go free until an appeal was heard. Senser was convicted in May of two felonies -- leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident in a timely manner.

Joe Senser played for the Vikings in the early 1980s and worked for the Vikings Radio Network until 2006. He's currently the color commentator for Division III St. Thomas.
