After the season opening loss to Eastern Washington,
the Cougar defense looked lost but boy have they turned
the corner as of late, highlighted by that dominant
performance against Stanford over the weekend.

Right now the matchup against UCLA coming up this
Saturday, might be coming at just the right time for
this Cougar defense.
Josh Rosen, UCLA quarterback, was pressured 50 percent
of the times he dropped back in a loss against Arizona
State which is music to the ears of a unit coming
into its own.
I think the defensive line this last game showed the
most improvement they were most disruptive and I think
the single biggest force on the field for us.
Oh it was amazing I mean with the D line, how the
D line was playing this game I couldn't have asked
for anything better.
Helped us in coverage, they did everything for us.
They set the tempo, they just the whole game were
after the qaurterback and they just were playing hard.
The defense definitely over these past two years,
last year, this year so far, probably the biggest
part to all of our wins really reading defense.
Geting turnovers and being disruptive is just, it
just changes the whole aspect of the game.
So while the defensive line might be likcing it's
chops to face that UCLA offensive front.
Who knows who will be behind center quarterback josh
rosen banged up in that loss to Arizona State we'll
see if he will be able to go Saturday night here in
