Vandals hire Paul Petrino

SPOKANE, Wash. -

Paul Petrino has reportedly been hired as the next head coach of the Idaho Vandals football team.

The Butte, Montana native spent this past season as the offensive coordinator at Arkansas.  Prior to that, he spent time at Illinois, Louisville and with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.

Petrino, brother of former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino, also spent time as an assistant at Idaho from 1992-94. 

The Vandals finished the 2012 season with a 1-11 record and will enter the 2013 season as an FBS independent.
