Shock coach Olson back with team after family tragedy
Spokane Shock head coach Andy Olson was back at practice on Thursday after missing Wednesdays' session following the shooting death of his brother-in-law on the west side of the state.
The Shock confirmed that Olson had left Spokane to deal with the tragic death of his wife's 20 year old brother, Ryan Mumm. Reports say the case is being treated as a homicide.
Olson and the Shock look to close the 2012 season with back to back wins when Tampa comes to Spokane on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on 700 ESPN. The Shock is currently 9-8, while the Storm is 8-9 and still alive for a playoff spot in the American Conference. Spokane was eliminated from post-season contention two weeks ago.
