Coyotes 4, Canucks 2: Kyle Chipchura tallied twice and Mike Smith turned aside 29 shots as visiting Phoenix salvaged the finale of its three-game trek through Western Canada by upending Vancouver.
Mikkel Boedker and Antoine Vermette each scored and set up a goal while Paul Bissonnette recorded an assist for the third straight contest. The Coyotes rebounded from Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss in Edmonton and Sunday's 5-4 setback in Calgary to post their fourth win in five outings in British Columbia.
Daniel Sedin netted his third goal in two games, defenseman Jason Garrison also tallied and Cory Schneider finished with 18 saves as the Canucks suffered their third straight loss at Rogers Arena.
Chipchura stickhandled his way from behind the net before backhanding the puck past Schneider to open the scoring with 5:38 remaining in the first period. Boedker doubled the advantage midway through the second as his wrist shot caromed off Maxim Lapierre's stick and past Schneider for his fourth goal.
Vermette answered Garrison's goal by scoring from the slot with just under 7 1/2 minutes to play. Sedin responded 64 seconds later by one-timing a shot from just outside the right faceoff circle, but Chipchura's empty-net goal with 23 seconds remaining sent Vancouver to its second straight setback.
