No. 6 EWU preps for No. 2 Montana State
In its quest for its first-ever 4-0 Big Sky Conference start, the only motivation the Eastern Washington University football team needs this week is 66-28 and 26-7.
That’s the collective score and second half score, respectively, in the last two meetings between the Eagles and Montana State, who clash this Saturday (Oct. 13) in Bozeman, Mont. Kickoff between sixth-ranked EWU and second-ranked MSU is 12:40 p.m. Pacific time at Bobcat Stadium in a game regionally televised by Root Sports.
Ranked sixth in this week’s Sports Network NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Top 25 poll, Eastern enters the game 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big Sky Conference, with its lone loss a narrow 24-20 setback at Washington State on Sept. 8. The Bobcats, ranked second behind defending NCAA Division I champion North Dakota State, are a perfect 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the league.
