MOSCOW, Idaho -

The University of Idaho athletic department has confirmed that Dominique Blackman and Conrad Scheidt have been dismissed from the Vandals football team.

The school sent out this press release around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28th:

"University of Idaho quarterback Dominique Blackman and linebacker Conrad Scheidt have been dismissed from the team for violating team rules. Tight end Taylor Elmo has been suspended for violating athletic department policy, the department announced Sunday."

Blackman, a junior who sat out last season after transferring from Old Dominion, missed the Vandals season-opening loss to Eastern Washington for an undisclosed reason.

He was 1-6 as Idaho's starting QB following the loss to EWU.  He completed 167 of 265 passes (63.0 %) for 1,605 yards, 9 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Senior Logan Bushnell is the only other Vandal to start at quarterback.  He and junior Taylor Davis split time in the Vandals opener against Eastern Washington.
