Washington State Cross-Country Championships
Central Valley took home the state title, having seven runners finish in the top-45. Andrew Gardner of Mead took home the individual title, finishing with a time of 15:02.3. Lewis & Clark finished 4th overall as a team.
North Central took home another state championship, with seven runners finishing in the top-16. Mt. Spokane finished 5th overall, led by John Dressel, who finished 2nd overall.
Mt. Spokane finished 6th overall as a team, while North Central's Katie Knight came in 2nd place overall.
Deer Park finished 4th overall in the 2A boys competition, while Cheney finished 5th.
Cheney's Sanne Holland finished 2nd overall, while East Valley's Brittany Acquino finished 3rd. Deer Park finished 10th overall as a team.
Lakeside took home 2nd place, while Medical Lake was 3rd.
Riverside captured a state championship, while Lakeside finished 2nd as a team, and Medical Lake placed 8th.
Northwest Christian finished 2nd, while Republic was 6th and Waitsburg-Prescott 9th overall.
Northwest Christian finished 5th overall led by Anna Henry, who had the 2nd best overall time.

Mt. Spokane beat Kamiakin in three sets to capture the 3A regional championship on Saturday. The Wildcats buried the Braves, 25-23, 25-21, and 25-17 to earn the top seed to state.
