Hermiston - Moscow hs hoops

Local teams won three of the four games on day one of the 2nd annual Dan Fitzgerald memorial tournament at Lewis & Clark High School on Friday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Mead 54, Lake Stevens 48 - The Panthers rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Lake Stevens, 54-48.  Gunnar Kayser lead Mead with 12 points while Walker Pettis added 11 and Brandon Pettersen chipped in with 10.

West Valley (Yakima) 59, West Valley (Spokane) 37

Lewis & Clark 63, Peninsula 44 - Dean Richey scored 17 points for the Tigers as host-team Lewis & Clark beat Peninsula 63-44.

Lake City 59, Blanchet 40 - The Timberwolves picked up their first win of the season knocking off Blanchet 59-40 in the night-cap of the "Fitz" Tourney.

Deer Park 44, Orting 35 - Top-ranked Deer Park outlasted 2nd ranked Orting in a match-up of the two best teams in 2A wrestling.
