The Post Falls little league team fell behind 3-0 in the first inning and never quite recovered, as Gresham (OR) hung on for an 8-4 win in the Northwest Region title game, earning a spot in the Little League World Series.
Sam Schulze put Post Falls on the board with a solo home run in the second inning, but Gresham added three more runs in the bottom of the second to take control, 6-1.
Post Falls rallied to close the gap to four runs in the 5th inning, but couldn't push anyone across in the 6th.
